LASIK LASER CLINIC

The power to see the world without glasses and Contact lenses

LASIK, or Laser-assisted in situ Keratomileusis, is the most commonly performed Laser eye surgery to treat myopia, hyperopia and Astigmatism. The LASIK procedure reshapes the cornea to enable light entering the eye to be properly focused onto the retina for clearer vision. For most people, LASIK provides a long-lasting alternative to eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya has at its disposal, an advanced LASIK Clinic for non invasive surgery backed by a team of highly skilled and internationally trained Surgeons and technical personnel, led by Dr. Kasturi Bhattacharjee.

Types of LASIK eye surgery available at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya (which are not usually available at other LASIK Clinics):

PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) – This procedure is mainly used for correcting low prescription and thin cornea.
NORMAL LASIK – In this procedure, a flap is made in the cornea with a tiny cut using a mechanical instrument
EPI LASIK – EPI LASIK (Epithelial Laser in-situ Keratomileusis) it is similar to PRK but the surface layer (epithelium) of the cornea is retained as a flap. Retaining the epithelium is thought to prevent complication and speed up healing.
CONTOURA VISION LASIK – Contoura Vision LASIK surgery is also known as Topography guided LASIK surgery. The process followed is similar to the LASIK surgery; however, the technology involved is different from normal LASIK surgery.

Benefits and advantages of opting for Contoura Vision LASIK

Contoura vision decreases many of the common symptoms such as light sensitivity, difficulty in driving at night, starburst, glare and halos, and difficulty in reading.
FDA approved evolution in cutting edge LASIK technology.
Calculates the unique characteristics of each person’s eye.
Very beneficial for those with irregularities in the cornea.
It is a quick and painless procedure that requires no blade, no stitch, no bandage, no injection, and no hospitalization. It is a walk in and walk out procedure that is spectacle free, with fast recovery, long lasting results and improved vision.
While laser procedure such as LASIK and SMILE treat on pupillary axis, Contoura Vision treatment is directed towards visual axis, providing the patient with much sharper visual outcome.
Advanced technology – LASIK surgery maps only 200 points on the cornea, while Contoura Vision surgery maps 22000 points on the cornea.
