SSN
conducts regular academic activities and maintains structured teaching
programme and other programme for manpower development. The consultants
of SSN regularly participates in national and international workshops,
conferences and seminars. The institution has been recognised by Diplomate
of National Board, Govt. of India, New Delhi for Post-Graduate course
(for Ophthalmology).

For DNB (Post graduate) courses advertisement is given in the month of
November and the course starts from January each year.
Eligibility
- MBBS
degree from a University recognised by the MCI.
- Should
have registered with any one of the State Medical Councils or MCI.
- Should
have completed one year of compulsory rotatory internship.
- Candidate
applying for DNB course should have passed Primary of DNB Or CET-NB
Or Candidate should have completed DO/DOMS.
- Indian
National Only need apply.
Maximum intake: 4 per year
Fellowship
SSN offers
fellowship in General Ophthalmology and Vitrro retina. Eligibility: PG Degree/Diploma
in Ophthalmology.
Maximum Intake: 6 per year
Duration: 1 year
Observship
SSN also offers short term observership programme.
Duration: 3 weeks
CME
CME programmes are held at SSN bimonthly. For details
one can contact academic office of the institution.
Training
SSN conducts surgical training programmes on ECCE,
SICS and phacoemulsification.
Since 1996 SSN has organised
